The other day I was watching Mel Gibson's movie "The Patriot". There was a marriage ceremony in the movie and at no point did the minister say, “By the powers vested in me by the state of…..” The union was between the couple and God. The government has stepped in even taking over the institution of marriage. Why is this OK? The church must have been asleep when that happened. Wake up people.
We are wasting our time and energy by fighting against gay marriage when we should really be fighting to put marriage back in the church where it belongs.
